In my attachment is my picture of my car. This is the one that I am looking for the weather stripping for. I was looking for a old car in 2008. I couldn’t find what I was looking for . My wife found a car on the internet. It was the same one that we had in 1988. I found that we registered it in june of 1988 and registered it again in 2008. This time I will fix it.

Picked her up for $1000. Came with 5 new coker white wall 7.10×15’s, a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, and brake hardware. All the trim, the grill and bumper that is removed in the pic, was in the car. The engine has been machined, but not assembled due to the machine shop finding a cracked crank. There was a EGGE master rebuild kit in the car, along with 8 new EGGE .030-over pistons, new timing gears & chain, reground cam, oil pump, etc. Pretty much everything to put it back together, except the crank. The plan is to get the brakes put together, check out the steering, and put a 350/350 in it TEMPORARILY, until I can get the straight 8 put back together, so I can drive it. My previous employment was as the head tech in a restoration shop, and now I sell Snapon Tools, so hopefully I can get old girl driving in a couple good weekends of work.

Hi All,
Just thought I’d make myself known to everyone. My name is Scott Baker and I live in Australia.
I’ve always been into American cars, and over the years I’ve imported quite a few. A 1959 Cadillac, a 1955 Cadillac, 2 1950 Buicks and a 1958 Buick, and now this 1951 Pontiac Cheiftian convertible (photos attached). I’ve sold on most of the cars (kept a 1950 Buick fastback) but I intend to keep the Pontiac.
My Pontiac is actually still in AZ at the moment (waiting on my transport company to pick it up!) but I expect I’ll take delivery of it here in Australia late Jan.
I just want to thank Dave for putting this great site together! I just love it.
Also thanks to Dave, and “The Cheif” for advice with the car, and also in the Cheif’s case, finding parts for my car and sending them to me (what a top bloke!). I just want to say I look forward to many years of happy motoring in the Pontiac, and many happy hours talking Pontiacs with you guys!
I’ll be sure to let you all know when my new toy arrives
All the best from ‘Down under’
Regards
Scott
