Tims Austrailian 1952 Pontiac

Posted on 02 February 2010 by Dave

Hi Dave.

Basically am selling my chev ute. and have found this 52. after looking at the net last night for some time, I found some nice accessaries. and was enquiring about purchasing in the future…….if I get this sedan. I did find stuff on eBay. but with paypal charges etc the fuel cover protector was dear. so may be looking for second hand stuff.

as I say im not sure on the purchase yet . as it needs a lot of cosmetic work, and brakes. also couple of things missing in eng.

but a very solid car overall.

cheers Tim.

Rusty’s 1952 Pontiac

Posted on 02 February 2010 by Dave

I bought the car a week ago for $5250, which isn’t bad for what it is. Currently it still has the original straight 8 and hydra-matic with 57,000 orig miles. The interior is all there, just needs to be redone. The dash is beautiful and everything works. As you can see from the pics the chrome is in excellent shape, I just need to rechrome the grill and a few small items to make it perfect. I haven’t been able to find pics of any ‘52 pontiacs that have all the chrome options that this car has. I’m sure they are out there, but I haven’t found any as of yet, which makes me even happier. The more unique the better.

Thanks for the site, I would’ve never thought I’d find a site devoted to these cars. Great idea!!!

Thanks, Rusty

I’m currently stripping it down. I yanked the straight 8 and 3 speed trans. The engine isn’t running but turns over. Its been sitting since 68.

1951 Pontiac Chieftain Sedan

Posted on 01 February 2010 by Dave

I picked up my 51 chieftain in Aug of 07. It came home on a trailer, with the brake pedal stuck on the floor. the stright 8 ran but not well. At first I was going to gut it out and turn it in to a hot rod. After looking the car over a little better after i got it home, and findind out most of the car was still intacked. I just wanted to see it running down the road as is was. After e-baying my brains out, and many hours of work I had it running by Oct and took her to a local car meet just before Hollowen.
